The Pennsylvania Senate convened today for the start of the 2025-26 legislative session, where State Senator Joe Pittman (R-41) was sworn in for his second full term. “I am humbled and honored to have been re-elected by my constituents to serve as their senator,” Pittman stated. He emphasized that meeting the needs of his constituents and ensuring prompt and efficient service from his offices remain his top priorities.

Senator Pittman represents the 41st Senatorial District, which includes all of Armstrong and Indiana Counties, along with parts of Jefferson and Westmoreland Counties. The Oath of Office was administered by The Honorable Judge Gina Force.

Pittman, who was re-elected in November by his colleagues to continue as Senate Majority Leader, plays a significant role in safeguarding citizens’ rights as leader of the Senate Republican Caucus. He has actively supported legislative initiatives focused on job creation, infrastructure improvements, law enforcement support, and limiting government overreach.

“Throughout this new legislative session, we will continue to work to advance policies and legislation to strengthen our communities, provide for family sustaining jobs and ensure Pennsylvania will remain a strong commonwealth for future generations,” said Pittman.

In the November 2024 General Election, voters granted Senate Republicans a 28-22 majority.
