Press conference to address new legislation protecting stalking victims

Rep. Shelby Labs, representing Bucks County, is set to host a press conference in Harrisburg. The event will focus on a legislative package aimed at enhancing protections for victims of stalking. Joining Labs will be Reps. Kristin Marcell and K.C. Tomlinson from Bucks County, Abby Major from Armstrong/Westmoreland, and Natalie Mihalek from Allegheny/Washington.

Also present will be former Bedminster Township Police Chief Matthew Phelan, Laurie Hepler who serves as the Civilian Community Relations Specialist for the Bedminster Township Police Department, Interim Chief of Police Nick Virnelson, and other advocates.

The press conference is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8th at 1 p.m. It will take place at the Capitol Media Center in Room 1 of the East Wing at the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg. “Barring any technical difficulties,” the event will be streamed online and available on Rep. Labs’s Facebook page.
