St. Thomas More University Parish recently issued the following announcement.
Social Justice Presentation It is said that people need to hear of an issue 7 times before it sinks in, and even more before they act on it. Over the next few months, we will be calling attention to human slavery, as it occurs here in Indiana County, our country and throughout the world. This effort will begin with our Human Trafficking presentation on October 13th, at 7pm in the parish lounge and will culminate with Mass in February, to celebrate the feast of St. Josephine Bakhita, the patron saint of victims of modern day slavery and human trafficking. In the weeks between those two events we will be presenting information in the Sunday bulletins regarding trafficking, human slavery and the life of Saint Bakhita.
