HARRISBURG – The Senate State Government Committee, chaired by Sen. Cris Dush (R-25), is set to convene a public hearing next week focused on the cybersecurity of electronic voting machines and the development of state statutes concerning ballot marking and vote tabulation.
The committee hearing, scheduled for Monday, March 18, will feature a panel of experts in the field. Among those slated to testify are Dr. Andrew Appel; Eugene Higgins, a professor of Computer Science at Princeton University; Kevin Skoglund, chief technologist at Citizens for Better Elections; and Dr. Alec Yasinsac, formerly of the Computer Science Department at the University of South Alabama.
