Rep. Abby Major of Pennsylvania has responded critically to Governor Tom Wolf's recent budget proposal, which amounts to $43.7 billion. In a statement, Major expressed skepticism about the governor's approach and its implications for the state's finances.

"While I have been in office for less than a year, it is obvious to me that the governor is living in a fantasy land," Major stated. She attributed the current budget surplus to the efforts of House Republicans who resisted what she described as "cradle-to-grave tax increases" proposed by Governor Wolf during his tenure.

Major criticized the new spending plan as excessive and potentially harmful to Pennsylvania's economic stability. "Today, he again offered a bloated spending plan that will put Pennsylvania in a tailspin," she remarked, accusing Wolf of using unreliable revenue and expenditure estimates.

Looking ahead, Major expressed her intent to collaborate with fellow legislators on crafting a budget she believes will better serve Pennsylvanians' interests. "I look forward to working with my colleagues to bring the governor back down to reality and draft a real budget that keeps Pennsylvania on the path to prosperity."
