State Rep. Abby Major | Pennsylvania 60th Legislative District
Rep. Abby Major has announced that she will be holding satellite district office hours in the Vandergrift Borough Building starting Wednesday, January 25. This decision follows changes in district boundaries due to redistricting, which resulted in the closure of previous legislative offices in the area.
"Due to redistricting, the boundaries of state House and Senate districts have changed," Major explained. "As a result, previous legislators who represented the Vandergrift area closed their offices that were located there. My goal has always been to be accessible to all of my constituents. With these satellite hours, I hope to make it easier to assist those who lack reliable transportation."
The office hours will take place each Wednesday until at least April 5 at 109 Grant Ave., Vandergrift. Residents are required to make appointments by calling 724-335-2790.
"If there is a high demand assistance, I will consider continuing the satellite hours past April," Major stated. She also noted that her Ford City and Lower Burrell offices remain open on weekdays for constituent assistance.
The Ford City office is located at 312 Ford St., with contact number 724-763-3222. The Lower Burrell office is situated at 2879 Leechburg Road, phone number 724-335-2790. Additional information can be found on Major’s website www.RepAbbyMajor.com and her Facebook page at Facebook.com/RepAbbyMajor.
The areas served by Rep. Major's office include multiple townships and boroughs across Armstrong County and Westmoreland County within Pennsylvania's 60th Legislative District.
