State Representative Brian Smith announced that fire and ambulance companies in Pennsylvania's 66th Legislative District will receive over $339,000 in state grants. These funds aim to support the public safety efforts of these organizations.

Smith stated, “We depend so heavily on our firefighters and emergency services workers to keep ourselves and our property safe in emergencies. But they can’t do their jobs without the proper funding. I’m glad we were able to secure these grants, and we’ll keep working to make sure our fire and ambulance companies have what they need.”

The grant program, created by the Legislature, is managed by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC). Eligible projects include facility construction or renovation, equipment purchase or repair, training, or debt reduction.
