Of the 923 people living in Rural Valley in 2019, 51.1 percent (472) were women and 48.9 percent (451) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the West Central PA News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 258-to-256. In the 65 and over age range, there were 139 females and 124 males.
