In Armstrong County 197 inmates were incarcerated in December 2022, a one percent increase over the month before, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

Nathaniel Robert Bish and Edward Daniel Wilson, 21-year-olds, were the youngest inmates incarcerated in Armstrong County in December 2022.

Wayne Allen Danjou was the oldest at 77-years-old.

Incarceration rates in Pennsylvania have increased dramatically, imprisoning more than seven times the number of people in 2019 than in 1970.

Sentencing practices in Pennsylvania were found to have overwhelmingly impacted people of color.
