On January 7, Senator Cris Dush was sworn in for his second term representing Pennsylvania's 25th District. During the ceremony, Dush emphasized the importance of voter laws and election integrity, stating, “We are still blessed to live in the greatest country on earth. Our founders created a government by the people, for the people, free from out-of-touch politicians and special interest coercion." He further added that ensuring "honest, transparent and secure elections" is essential.

As chairman of the Senate State Government Committee, Dush aims to focus on restoring election integrity, reducing government spending and regulation, balancing budgets, and opposing tax increases. Additionally, as head of the PA Senate Second Amendment Caucus, he advocates for gun rights and intends to continue defending constitutional freedoms.

Dush has also been active in anti-human trafficking efforts. He sponsored Senate Bill 44 which became Act 39 of 2023. This law ensures that victims of child human trafficking have access to necessary services. His work also helped establish dedicated funding for the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Section.

He remarked on his commitment to protecting constitutional rights: “While other forms of government have relied on totalitarian tyranny...constitutional republics such as ours rely on a written declaration of ‘We the People.’” Dush encourages constituents to stay informed through his website and social media platforms.

The 25th Senate District includes Cameron, Clinton, Elk, McKean, Potter counties and parts of Jefferson and Centre counties.
