State Rep. Brian Smith | Pennsylvania 66th Legislative District
State Representative Brian Smith has been sworn in for his third term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Representing the 66th Legislative District, which covers Jefferson County and parts of Indiana County, Smith is committed to continuing his work on behalf of his constituents.
"I’m looking forward to getting back to work for the people of Jefferson and northern Indiana counties," Smith stated. "I’ll keep fighting to protect the rights of gun owners, hunters and outdoorsmen, and doing my best to defend Pennsylvanians from more senseless taxes and regulations."
Smith's political career began with his election to the Punxsutawney Borough Council in 2014, where he later served as council president starting in 2016. His community involvement includes roles as a board member and vice president of the Punxsutawney Chamber of Commerce, along with serving as president and treasurer of the Punxsutawney Rotary Club. He was recognized by his peers as Rotarian of the Year in 2016 and received the Rotary "Person of Action" award in 2020.
The 66th Legislative District encompasses all of Jefferson County and various communities within Indiana County, including Banks, Canoe, East Mahoning, Grant, Green, Montgomery, North Mahoning, Rayne, South Mahoning and West Mahoning townships as well as Cherry Tree, Ernest, Glen Campbell, Marion Center, Plumville and Smicksburg boroughs.
