Nearly $2.7 million in grants have been awarded for municipal equipment and infrastructure projects in Cameron, McKean, and Potter counties. The announcement was made by Sen. Cris Dush (R-25) and Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter).

Senator Dush expressed satisfaction with the funding's impact on local communities: "With so many hard-working families struggling with ever-rising costs and inflation, I am pleased to have played a role in securing this highly competitive funding for the citizens I serve in Cameron, McKean and Potter counties." He emphasized the importance of these grants as investments in safety and quality of life for residents.

Representative Causer highlighted the significance of these funds: "These grants are crucial to helping our communities make the necessary investments to best meet the needs of their residents." He noted that projects such as water line improvements, road paving, maintenance equipment, and public safety enhancements will benefit citizens' health and well-being.

The municipal grants were distributed through the statewide Local Share Account program, which is funded by state gaming revenues. The final approval for these grants was given at a meeting of the Commonwealth Financing Authority on Tuesday.
